Owner & Veterinarian
Born and raised in central North Dakota. She received her BS in 1998 from the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND). Received her DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) in 2002 from Iowa State University (Ames, IA). After graduating and passing her National Veterinary Boards, Dr. Krenz practiced in Louisville, KY at the Jefferson Animal Hospital — a 24 hour / 365 day emergency practice.
After a year of employment, Dr. Krenz returned to IA and practiced for 5 years in a rural mixed animal practice. Her main responsibilities were small animal care, however she also worked on cattle, horses, sheep and pig, as well as gaining a thorough knowledge of regulatory laws and ordinances. While in practice in IA she was on the board of the Chariton Humane Society, and aided in getting an abandoned Labrador to Minnesota for rescue.
In 2008, Dr. Krenz joined Markway Animal Medical Center where she practiced small animal medicine, surgery and preventative care for 5 years. She gained increased skills in orthopedic procedures, stem cell therapy and pain control. She hopes to bring her knowledge and skill from all aspects of veterinary medicine that she has experienced to her own clinic along with her staff.
On her off times, Dr. Krenz likes to hike, play ice hockey, run obstacle and trail races, and in general enjoy the beautiful Colorado mountains with her husband and children. She also keeps busy taking care of her own animals: 3 dogs and 2 cats.
We are paired with Pet Project, the local feline (only) rescue.
We accept and encourage visits from people who adopt from Pueblo Animal Services.
